What is Casting Fitting?
SMLSCO stainless steel fittings are produced using precision
casting (silica sol) technology. This process can produce products
with complex shapes, precise dimensions, and high surface
smoothness. Compared to other processes, precision casting is an
ideal choice for producing medium and low pressure threaded pipe
fittings such as Class 150, with excellent product performance and
cost-effectiveness. It is widely used in general industrial,
building, and civil pipeline systems.
Overview of Fitting Connection Types
There are primarily three connection methods for industrial pipe
fittings. Threaded connection, such as this pipe clamp, is suitable
for medium and low-pressure systems, with the advantage of
convenient installation and disassembly. Socket welding is used for
high-pressure, small-diameter pipelines, and is connected through
fillet welds, providing high strength. Butt welding involves
directly welding with the end of the pipeline to form a continuous
and integrated pipeline, with the highest strength and suitable for
various critical and high-demand pipeline systems.
What are the Types of Cast Coupling?
Casting Coupling, also known as pipe sleeve, is used for
straight-line connection between two pipes. It mainly comes in two
forms: Equal Coupling, with the same thread size on both ends, used
for connecting pipes of equal diameter; and Reducing Coupling, with
different thread sizes on both ends, like this product, used for
smoothly transitioning a larger diameter pipe to a smaller one.
