The gas path detection of the blood pressure module is divided into
external and internal gas path detection. This type of malfunction
is usually caused by slight air leakage in the pneumatic system. If
there is a large amount of air leakage and the machine cannot
complete the measurement of blood pressure, the air leakage
detection will report "pump leakage". The external air duct
consists of an air duct extension tube and a cuff. The simplest and
most direct method to check the external air circuit is to use the
"substitution method", replacing the external air circuit
components (cuff, ventilation tube, quick connector) in sequence.
If the fault is eliminated, it indicates that the replaced
component is faulty. If there is no problem with the external air
circuit, it can be determined as an internal air circuit fault. The
internal air circuit mainly consists of an air pump, two solenoid
valves, a connector, and several rubber air ducts. We first check
if the trachea is damaged, and then tighten the trachea to each
connecting head. After troubleshooting these minor issues, if the
problem persists, you can perform a leak check on the air pump and
vent valve. The method is as follows: enter the NIBP settings menu
and press the leak detection button. The air pump starts to
inflate. When the air pump stops inflating, use a hemostatic clamp
to clamp the trachea connected to the air pump and see if it
reports "pump leak" or if the air pressure drops rapidly. If the
air pressure remains at a certain value and no longer decreases, it
indicates that the air pump is leaking. Similarly, this method can
also be used to detect whether two solenoid valves are leaking air.
The final inspection revealed a slight air leakage in the air pump,
which was resolved by replacing it with a new one.

measuring arterial blood pressure by blocking the oscillatory waves
in the cuff. 2 Testing method: Upper arm measurement. Composed of
